Wayne L. Lofton 
Mr. Lofton is the proud father of two teen age Club members. He was appointed as Executive Director and CEO of Community Boys & Girls Club in March 2006. Having spent a large portion of his life in Wilmington, NC, Mr. Lofton attended the Community Boys Club as a youth, and was blessed to return as it's administrative leader a few decades later. Having owned his own successful business, he brings solid business management skills as an administrator. Mr. Lofton loves playing and coaching sports, boating, motorcycle-riding, and serving others as a pastor through the ministry of Jesus Christ. Mr. Lofton believes that "everyone is somebody, and that every somebody should help someone."

Annette Minx 
Annette Minx was appointed Executive Assistant to the President/CEO of Community Boys and Girls Club in April 2009, after several years of employment and association with successful business organizations throughout New Hanover and Pender counties. Moreover, Annette is the mother of three special sons, and a happily married wife and companion; who loves spending time with her family and the kids at the Club. Annette has broad and vivid aspirations to become the most effective and productive professional that she can be; so that she can assist in the continued positive growth and development of our Club and organization. We are very proud to have her as one of the newest members of our professional team and family.

Tina Fobes 
Tina joined the staff at the Community Boys & Girls Club in September of 2008 and has been a prime asset in organizing events, applying for grants, and assisting in operations. Among Tina's many achievements is a successful career as a Mary Kay Sales Director, receiving national honors for sales and winning countless prizes for her efforts, including three cars and trips around the country. She loves seeing the smiling faces, hearing the laughter of children, and knowing that the work done at the Community Boys & Girls Club provides a safe place for members to learn, grow, and become valued members of our community.

Brian Bialeschki 
Brian received his Political Science degree from the University of Illinois and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Brian is a news fanatic whose favorite topic is politics. He currently oversees all the transportation, operational, nutritional and construction concerns of the Club. He loves working with the members and is passionate about helping them become the best they can be.

Kristin Zachary 
Kristin recently graduated from Elon University in December 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, swimming and biking. As Program Director, Kristin Zachary maintains and develops the Club's educational programs, sets up special events and/or programs and strives to maintain compliance with all grants. She is also working closely with the Club Tech program to get the members involved in film production and photography. Many of Kristin's past jobs have centered around children and helping others. She is very passionate about working with underprivileged youth and working to change others' lives for the better.

David Branch 
David graduated with a BS in health/recreation/physical education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where he was a member of the UNC-Pembroke baseball team. He has 2 years teaching and coaching experience. As athletic director, he provide overall leadership and coordination among various sports. He's also in charge of the implementation of all sports programs. He enjoys teaching kids how to enjoy life by taking the positives out of their environment and using them in a healthy way.

Tony R. McKoy 
With almost 30 years working in commercial kitchens from New York to New Hanover County, Tony has come to the Club to fulfill his desire to work with and mentor at-risk youth. In his free time, Tony likes to indulge in his love of art, reading and socializing with friends and family. He has a 16 year old daughter who is a member of the Club's Teen program.

Kathleen Ludeman 
Kathleen graduated with honors from State University of New York. She came to the Club after a long career working for the good of others. As the Teen Programs Coordinator, she is responsible for implementing programs designed to help teens make sound decisions entering adulthood. She lives in rural North Carolina as close to nature as possible with her husband, four large dogs and various small livestock.

Jamel Conyers 
Jamel Conyers is an Alumni of the Community Boys & Girls Club, and has worked for the Club for 13 years. Over that time, he has taught arts and crafts, assisted in homework for the Power Hour program, taught Smart Moves, and helped members learn the skills & techniques of the game room to excel & win tournaments. Under his leadership, the Club won the Merit Arts Award in 2006 at the National Centennial Celebration for the Boys & Girls Clubs in Boston, Massachusetts. He was also awarded the Smart Start Children's Champion Award in 2008. In his role as athletic coordinator, he coaches many sports to club members, always stressing the importance of good sportsmanship. He also serves as Assistant Coach for the Community Boys & Girls Track Club. Jamel feels that helping children, mentoring, seeing them smile & excel in there future...that's what inspires him to work for the Club.

Brandon Thompson 
Brandon Thompson started as an intern in August of 2008 while studying to gain his degree in Parks and Recreation Management from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He's now responsible for coordinating the Educational and Developmental Programs, where he runs programs for the Cadets and Juniors. His main focus is supervising the Power Hour, which provides homework assistance, and SMART Moves, which teaches our members about the negative impact that tobacco, alcohol, drugs, and engaging in sexual activity can have on their lives. He is the Torch Club Coordinator, which gives the mid-aged members the chance to give back to their community, teaching them leadership and civic responsibility. He's also the head coach of the Community Boys & Girls Track Club. He loves working at the Community Boys & Girls Club because he can see the impact that his leadership has on the members who need positive role models in their lives.

Cynthia Jean-Philippe 
Cynthia is a senior undergraduate student at UNCW studying psychology. She's danced for 7 years and is currently the president of the UNCW hip hop dance team. As Creative Dance Instructor, she works with David to provide the members the best possible dance programs. She oversees the Satin Dolls Dance Team and the Step Team, and is the Secretary of the Community Boys & Girls Track Club. She believes that our future lies in the hands of today's kids, and it is up to us to support, develop, and enhance their skills today. That's why she's so passionate about providing kids access to sports and other extra curricular activities to keep the active and healthy, teach them to make good choices, enhance their social and leadership skills, and provide them a better chance at future success.

Adolph Richard 
Adolph “Dolph” Richards is a Wilmington native, graduated from Laney High School in 1989 and NC Central University in 1993, where he received a BA in accounting. Dolph has a long history with the Club. Son of former Executive Director, Adolph Richard Sr., Dolph has been committed to the Club since he became a member at age 4. He is currently the Assistant Teen Coordinator, and he also works with the Athletic Department to coach baseball and basketball. He is passionate about his Club, and he loves to see the benefits the Club has for its members.

Brenda Bowden 
Brenda was born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina, and then went to NC Central University in Durham. She returned to Wilmington in 1985, and has dedicated more than 20 years of her life to working with people. She has been with the Club for over two years working as Teen Coordinator for the Power Hour and Club Tech programs. As Administrative Assistant/Client Service she has a genuine desire to improve the education of youth in all aspects of society, because she believes we can all make a difference. She enjoys the arts, travel, adventure.

Tamika Newsome 
Tamika was born and raised in Staten Island, New York, as one of 29 kids. She loves just about every kind of sport and enjoys hip-hop dancing. As Athletic Coordinator, she works in the gym most of the day. She works especially hard with girls, trying to encourage them to be more involved in sports. She assists David, and has been working with him to coordinate playoffs with other regional Boys & Girls Clubs. She's also Assistant Coach for the Community Boys & Girls Track Club. She's passionate about working at the Club because she feels it's vital to keep kids off the streets, away from drugs, gangs and violence. She has worked with the Club for more than seven years, striving to encourage members in a positive, safe environment.

James "Possum" Mathis 
James graduated from Laney High School, where he played basketball and football. As Recreational Assistant, he works with the cadets for Power Hour, helps with the basketball team, and generally fills in whenever his help is needed. He grew up in the Community Boys & Girls Club, starting in the mid 1980s as a member. His passion for working with kids comes from his great experiences as a member himself.
