Nutritious Meals Program

Understanding that a full stomach is a basic component of a child's health and well-being and that good nutrition is essential if our children are to develop their minds and respond favorably to all of the Club programs, CB&GCW provides nutritious snacks and hot meals to all Club youth free of charge. Non-program youth are also invited to take advantage of the Nutritious Meals Program.  In addition to the Nutritious Meals Program, we also offer healthy eating and cooking programs:

Healthy Habits with Chef Tony
Resident Chef Tony McKoy teaches members how to read labels, count calories and eat healthy.  Cadets, Juniors, and Teens learn about where vitamins come from and how to make smart food choices.  Instead of forcing them to learn through memorization, the program focuses on teaching them how to think critically about food and the impact that their choices have on their health.  As a bonus, Chef Tony leads them in cooking a meal every Friday, so that they have a chance to apply what they've learned.
