It has been almost three years since I began my tenure as the Executive Director/CEO at the Community Boys and Girls Club, and we have made great strides towards the vision and goal of an improved and expanded Club. The board, staff and volunteers are all fully committed to the overall mission of the Club and the job at hand. We all recognize the need and value of qualitative and quantitative programs that provide outreach opportunities and services to families and youth who would otherwise be without, or be least likely to receive the valued and essential services and opportunities that the Club provides for them. Our organization understands and accommodates the severe and urgent need for professional youth development programs and services that allow youth to grow and develop into positive ad productive young men and women, as well as relieving the financial and service provision burden on low-income and impoverished families that live at or below the poverty-level. In excess of 90% of all (1134) of our registered youth members are free and reduced lunch qualified, or receive some form of Title One and DSS assistance. We are totally committed to continue serving this clientele; particularly the youth that live in transitional and public-housing homes and communities throughout our city and region.
In conclusion, I would like to thank each and every person, organization, and entity that has made generous contributions of time, talent, and treasure to the children at the Community Boys and Girls Club. We are the positive place for kids because we provide love, opportunity, training, and determination to make a better community and a better world. The minimal cost of $2,000.00 per year for each child's complete programming and services provision is the cornerstone of our marketing and funding solicitation schematic. Our plan is to help save one child at a time, one community at a time, one city at a time, and it all works together for the good of one great state and nation. We need your strength and help to continue this essential service opportunity for high at-risk families and kids, and to help make our communities become safer and more secure in the future. We look forward to hearing from you, and we welcome your financial and volunteer services and donations to the youth and families at the Club. Thank you and God bless for all that you will do and have done!
