Welcome to the Community Boys & Girls Club, where we're creating opportunities one child at a time. The Wilmington Sharks Help Out Badges for Baseball: We're proud of our kids, our program, and were excited to have WWAY TV3 come out to see the Wilmington Sharks Baseball team work with our members and local law enforcement officers. You can see the coverage by clicking here. CB&GCW Summer Program: Once again, we're offering a Summer Program for anyone in the community. Members who sign up will enjoy field trips, athletics, and learning at the Positive Place for Kids, the Community Boys & Girls Club! The CB&GCW Summer Program will last from June 22-August 14, 2009. Hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the program is available to children ages 5-18. Click here for more information, or call the office at 910-762-1252. Brunswick County Boys & Girls Club Summer Program: We're thrilled to announce that our Brunswick County/Southport location will also be having a summer camp! Just as in the Wilmington summer camp, members will go on field trips, enjoy athletics, and learn while making friends at the Positive Place for Kids, the Community Boys & Girls Club of Brunswick County! Our 2007-2008 "winner of Youth of the Year" Jennifer Lofton was Inducted into the National Honor Society at UNCW Watson School of Education: Jennifer Lofton, YOY 2007-08 was recently inducted into the National Honor Society at UNCW Watson School of Education on 6/27/09. Jennifer is a third year student at Isaac Bear Early College Program, and one of several students attending this school because of the collaborative efforts of the CB&GCW working in direct conjunction with Isaac Bear to get minority students enrolled and engaged in university classes.
